Surface treatment – glass bead blasting in manual blasting booths or a large glass bead blasting booth. You can also have very large assemblies treated with ease! Glass bead blasting is particularly well suited to achieving a perfect finish.

You can have small parts glass bead blasted in our manual blasting units and large assemblies in our spacious glass bead blasting cabinet.

Glass Bead Blasting and Surface Treatment of Stainless Steel

On request, our staff will be happy to show you sample sheets made of steel, stainless steel and aluminium, and provide detailed advice on all aspects of surface finishing.

1.4301 IIIC (cold-rolled up to 6 mm) has a very uniform, technically matt finish. This material should not be confused with machined and brushed, or ‘matt brushed’, stainless steel. The ‘brushed’ finish gives a much more refined appearance than IIIC sheet!

When referring to stainless steel, a conventional distinction is made between V2A (CrNi steel / e.g. 1.4301) and V4A (CrNiMo steel / e.g. 1.4404), terms that are usually used interchangeably for stainless steel:

1.4301: A polishable material used, amongst other things, in household goods, the consumer goods industry, food processing and storage, apparatus and container construction, and vehicle manufacturing.

1.4401: Compared to 1.4301, 1.4401 stainless steel is even more corrosion-resistant, with high resistance to pitting corrosion.
