Our standard models are suitable, for example, for transporting your family dog. In other words, whenever you don’t have any special requirements but still want to transport your dog in the safest possible way. For instance, if you’re taking him on holiday or want to take him with you to work or to the shops during the day. Standard dog transport crates from FFF are high-quality products that meet all the necessary safety standards. However, they are manufactured in small batches and are therefore comparatively affordable.

If you have specific requirements, a bespoke solution may be more suitable. Are you a hunter, do you take part in active dog sports, or do you need to transport several dogs? We’d be happy to advise you in detail on our bespoke dog transport crates.

We manufacture most of our dog transport crates to individual customer specifications for use in car boots. We build single-dog crates, double-dog crates and transport crate systems, as well as vehicle superstructures for flatbed lorries and dog transport crates for bicycles.

We also offer standard dog crates, which are in stock and available for immediate delivery.

Yes, we also build dog transport systems that can accommodate 2, 3 or more dogs.

A standard dog transport crate is always designed in the same way, manufactured in series and available immediately from stock. Standard models include, for example, the GLA-WEL BASIS dog crate and the PRO DOG dog transport crate, a particularly lightweight single-dog transport crate made from anodised aluminium, which we offer in sizes ‘S’ and ‘M’.

We use only high-quality materials, primarily aluminium – for example, for the body – and corrosion-resistant stainless steel – for example, for frames and doors. Every dog transport crate is manufactured entirely in Germany, specifically at our factory in Melle in Lower Saxony.

We are a certified manufacturing company, a supplier of metal products to industry, and specialise in CNC sheet metal working of steel, stainless steel and aluminium.

We therefore have extensive expertise in professional metalworking, particularly when it comes to our dog transport crates, which have been part of our product range from the very beginning.

In addition, we manufacture specialised dog transport solutions for commercial dog transport and for service dog units, e.g. for the police.

Our qualified specialists, high-quality raw materials, audited processes and a rigorous internal quality management system ensure a high standard of workmanship and the skilful manufacture of our dog transport boxes.

Bespoke crates: You should allow 5–6 weeks for production and dispatch. Deliveries abroad take slightly longer. For dog crates in stock, the delivery time is significantly shorter, at around 5–10 working days.

Think carefully about what you need. For example, whether you’ll be taking the dog crate out of the car frequently, how much space it should take up in the boot, and whether it should be lockable. It’s also important to know when you might want to buy a new car. Of course, your dog’s size and breed play a crucial role. Don’t worry if you have lots of questions! We’ll be happy to give you thorough advice.

Yes, we sometimes resell a second-hand GLA-WEL dog crate to a customer who wishes to buy a new one. We provide details of the condition – for example, any signs of wear and tear – and the price of a second-hand dog crate in the relevant online listing.

We do not accept second-hand dog crates (or dog transport trailers) from other manufacturers in part exchange! We only sell second-hand products that are in very good condition.

For dog crates in stock:

You place your order for a dog crate with us in writing once you have received a price quotation or a written offer from us. You will usually receive an order confirmation stating the delivery date or collection date.

For bespoke dog transport crates:

Once the design of the dog transport crate has been finalised, you will receive a written quotation stating the price and the estimated delivery date; you must confirm this quotation in writing. You will receive an order confirmation and a technical drawing with all relevant dimensions. Once you have checked the drawing, please approve it in writing. Production will only commence once approval has been given.

We arrange all appointments with you in advance so that you can plan accordingly. Please do not visit us without an appointment, so that you do not have to wait unnecessarily. Our staff are also often out and about. An appointment ensures that we can assist you!

We only deliver the PRO DOG dog travel crate in size ‘S’ via DPD! Normally, we therefore deliver your dog travel crate via a haulage contractor. Please ensure that you are available to accept the delivery at the agreed time.

Your dog should be able to stand, sit, turn round and lie down comfortably, curled up slightly, in the dog crate – we’d be happy to advise you on this. We always require your complaint to be submitted in writing. Please send an email to info@gla-wel.de, setting out the problem in detail and providing a contact number where we can reach you during the day – or you can use the general contact form. We will then discuss all further steps with you.

On request, we can also carry out repairs or upgrade equipment, provided this is technically feasible. You can, of course, also obtain spare parts and accessories from us – it would be helpful if you could provide the item number for the product you require so that we can dispatch a replacement quickly.

We include care instructions with every dog travel crate.

If our rubber mats become very dirty, you can clean them with water and a mild, pet-friendly cleaning product. Otherwise, you can brush them clean whilst dry. We would appreciate it if you could use biodegradable cleaning products. Air the rubber mats regularly and ensure that no water accumulates underneath them.

On request, we can have hardwood boards made to measure.

Of course, that’s the handy thing about it!

We actually strongly recommend doing this before using the bowls for the first time, to ensure the product is completely clean before Bello eats or drinks from it. Normally, it’s enough to rinse the bowls you’ve just used under a hot tap (using washing-up liquid if necessary).

If you’re having trouble, please check whether you have a 4mm Allen key at home, as this is required to assemble some of the bowls.

Please don’t! In the event of an accident, your dog could be at risk of injury. Why not take a break every now and then? It’s not just good for your four-legged friend, but for you too.

We manufacture dog sports equipment to your specified dimensions and can also produce items to standard DIN dimensions on request.
